1 : I performed the Setup but after many hours I still have a blank EPG what is going wrong?
There are several possibilities:
1. Physical cabling is wrong. Go to Step 1 in the Quick Start Instructions. Follow the steps to make sure your equipment is correctly connected for the type of TV service you have in your home.
2. The onscreen setup of your DVDR/PVR, of the GUIDE Plus+ system and/or of your external receiver is wrong. Go to Steps 2 and 3 in the Quick Start Instructions. Follow the steps to access the Setup area for the GUIDE Plus+ system. In the Setup area, make sure your country and postal code entries are correct. Also confirm that your external receiver is defined correctly.
3. Your cabling and Setup is OK, but your GUIDE Plus+ unit did not tune to the correct Host Channel. Check the list of Host Channels and change the setup in the Editor area accordingly.
4. Your cabling and Setup are OK and your GUIDE Plus+ unit did tune to the correct Host Channel, but it was not left on standby for enough time to receive the download. Please leave your GUIDE Plus+ unit on standby overnight to make sure it receives the first download.
5. You live in a country/region where the GUIDE Plus+ system is not yet available. Check the list of countries to see if you are in a region that is supported.
2 : Sometimes I have missing data on my GUIDE Plus+ system, why?
There are two possibilities:
1. Incomplete host download: The GUIDE Plus+ system requires that the GUIDE Plus+ unit is on standby for approximately one hour every day in order to receive all the data. The best time is for this to take place when the GUIDE Plus+ unit is not being used, e.g. between midnight and early morning hours.
2. Bad quality signal from Host Channel: If you do not receive a good quality television signal, the nightly GUIDE Plus+ data downloads will be corrupted. Check to see if you can receive Teletext correctly and reliably on the Host Channel. If you cannot receive all the Teletext data for your region, you will need to adjust your aerial or contact your TV service provider.
There are several things you can check before you receive your next nightly download.
- Ensure that the date and time on the GUIDE Plus+ unit is correctly set.
- Ensure that the GUIDE Plus+ unit is always left on standby.
- If the Host Channel is received via an external receiver do ensure that this is always left on and tuned to the correct Host Channel.
- Ensure that GUIDE Plus+ can correctly control the External Receiver.

4 : I have listings for today's and tomorrow's programmes, but no listings for the day after tomorrow's programmes. What is wrong?
If it is your first download this means that not all the data for seven days has yet been received. Wait overnight and check the listings again the next day. The complete data should be available to you.
If you already had all data and suddenly some days are missing it means that the GUIDE Plus+ unit was not able to receive its overnight updates. Please tune to the Host Channel and leave the GUIDE Plus+ unit on standby overnight to receive the missing data. Check the listings the next day.
Note as well that for some channels the available information is restricted to two days only.
5 : Why doesn't my favourite channel have more information in the Information Box or Expanded Information Box?
The information available depends on the information we receive from the broadcaster. Although our editorial team tries to complete missing data and enrich the information, it might happen from time to time that only basic information is available.
6 : When I select a sub-category under Search sometimes I have found that there are no programmes listed.
The TV listings are categorized before transmission so the reason could be that there happens to be no programmes of that sub category at this time. Please check again under another date and there may be listings under the sub-category your are interested in.
7 : I have the wrong ITV network, why?
This can happen if the postal code is not correct or the wrong ITV has been turned "on" in the Editor:
- Use the up and right arrows on your remote control to access the Setup area in the main menu bar.
- Check the postal code listed on screen and correct it if necessary.
- Next, use the up and left arrows on your remote control to access the Editor area. - Check the settings for ITV and change it to "ON" if necessary.
- The next day, check to see if you now receive the correct ITV channel.
