The My TV area allows you to set up a personal profile that the GUIDE Plus+® system will use in recommending programmes for you to watch or record. This “intelligent filter” will scan all the available listings every day and create a personalized list of programmes that match the profile you have entered.
Once you set up a profile, the GUIDE Plus+ system will display all the programmes that match your profile whenever you access the My TV area. You may add, change or delete the profile at any time, just by accessing the My TV area. (Note: The My TV feature may not be available in some models. The number of profiles you can set up may vary by manufacturer.)
Setting up you’re My TV profile is easy. Use the arrow keys to go to the My TV area and press the yellow Profile button to access the profile settings screen. Your profile can cover specific channels and categories selected from the GUIDE Plus+ system, and/or custom keywords that you enter using the virtual keyboard. The number of channels, categories and keywords you can define varies by manufacturer.
After you have defined and activated your profile, the GUIDE Plus+ system will take a few moments to search for and display the programmes airing in the next seven days that meet your criteria. It will find all the programmes with your keyword(s) that fall into the category(ies) and channel(s) you defined.
Your keywords are your primary filter, but your search results will be more efficient if you also define the category(ies) and channels you are particularly interested in. Your My TV search results will be automatically updated with every GUIDE Plus+ data download.
If there are no programmes that match your profile, you will see a “No search results” message when you go to the My TV area.
