The Grid area is the main TV listings screen of the GUIDE Plus+® system. It is the first screen displayed when the Guide button on the remote control is pressed. It provides you with up to seven days of TV programme information for all the major channels received in your home, regardless of the type of TV reception you have.
As you move through the Grid using the up/down arrow keys, the Video Window will tune to the channel highlighted (if unlocked). By using the left or right arrow keys, you can scroll from present to future programme listings. You can return to the current time in the Grid by pressing the blue button on your remote control, which corresponds to the blue Home button at the top of the screen.
(Note: If a cable box is used, a short delay of approximately two seconds from the time a line is highlighted to the time the box tunes is normal.)
The Grid area also contains the Information Box which gives you the following information about the highlighted programme: station, title, time, length and synopsis.
If there is additional information about a programme, the “i” (information) symbol will be displayed in the box. This alerts you to press the “i” button on your remote control to bring up the Expanded Information Box.
To watch a specific channel, highlight the channel you want in the Grid and press the “OK” button on the remote control. You will exit the guide and go to TV mode.
To return to the guide, press the Guide button on the remote control.
The colour-coded buttons at the top of the Grid area allow you to record a programme or set a reminder to watch it, to check what's on by channel, or use the Home button to return to the listings for the current day and time. (Note: the Watch feature may not be available in some models).
The Grid screen also includes two Information Panels that appear at the far left of the screen, below the Video Window. These panels give you promotional information about upcoming TV programmes or other products and brands, as well as instructional tips on using the guide.
