The Editor area allows you to manage the channels displayed in your GUIDE Plus+® system so that you can:
- See only the listings for the channels applicable to your home
- Tune to your channels correctly, and
- Record from the correct channels.
As outlined in the Quick Start Instructions, confirming your channel lineup in the Editor area is one of the important steps for properly setting up your GUIDE Plus+ system the first time. After initial setup, you can also use the Editor area to change the channels displayed in your GUIDE Plus+ system by turning channels "ON" or "OFF".
When you first enter the Editor area, you will see all the channels captured during the GUIDE Plus+ data download. The list of the channels displayed in the Editor area is determined by the parameters you entered during the initial setup to define your location and type of TV reception. The short-form of the channel name is listed on the left, with the words "ON" or "OFF" to the immediate right. "ON" indicates that the channel is displayed in the listings, "OFF" means it will not be displayed.
The columns on the right hand side of the screen indicate the Source from which the channel is received and its Programme Number. The source will be either through the TV tuner ("Tuner" is indicated) or through an external receiver ("Ext. Rec. 1, 2 or 3" is indicated).
