Getting Started
The GUIDE Plus+® system is an easy-to-use interactive television programme guide that displays your TV listings right on your TV screen. You will see information for all the major channels available in your home, no matter what method of TV reception you use --- analogue or digital, via either terrestrial, cable or satellite. The GUIDE Plus+ system will also, in most cases, automatically control your external receivers (set-top boxes). Click here to see a list of European countries in which the GUIDE Plus+ system is available.
The GUIDE Plus+ system works by receiving programme information data from specific channels carrying the data in each country/region. These are called the "host channels".
To take full advantage of all the GUIDE Plus+ features, you must set up the GUIDE Plus+ system within your DVDR/PRV and your television, cable or satellite configuration. This should be done immediately after you complete the basic initial setup of your DVDR/PVR. The information you enter during the setup process will let the GUIDE Plus+ system know what equipment you have and which host channel to use for your household.
Setting up your DVDR/PVR with the GUIDE Plus+ system has five easy steps:
1. Connect your equipment. 2. Do the DVDR/PVR Setup. 3. Do the GUIDE Plus+ Setup. 4. Leave your DVDR/PVR on"standby" overnight. 5. Next day: check your listings and your channel lineup... then, start enjoying your GUIDE Plus+ system!
Each of these steps is explained in more detail in the Quick Start Instructions for your country of residence. Select your country of residence and preferred language in the left-hand navigation to read or download the Quick Start Instructions for your region.
Additional details are also available in the manufacturer's instruction manual for your unit.
Note: The manufacturer's Instruction Manual for your unit provides complete documentation on installation, setup, availability of GUIDE Plus+ features, and how to use these features.
